Antipodes

Antipodes Still Water 1 Litre

$33

Description
A water’s subtle taste can be determined by the amount of minerals per litre. At just 130 milligrams per litre its minerality is remarkably low in comparison to many other waters. With much of this light minerality composed of silica, our water offers almost imperceptible flavour and a gentle, silky texture on the palate. The average pH level of Antipodes at source, is a neutral 7.0, providing Antipodes with its unique clean and subtle taste.

Size: 6 Bottles Case

Region: Whakatane, New Zealand

Far beneath the earth’s surface at a depth of 327m is the natural home of Antipodes; an artesian aquifer composed of silica rich ignimbrite rock. Assessed as New Zealand’s deepest high quality water source, it exists under such immense geological pressure that the water flows naturally all the way to the surface. Its measured age at bottling is between 50 to 300 years.

Antipodes water is exceptionally pure and needs only a simple microfiltration before bottling. No sterilisation, no additives, no industrial cleansing and processing. Our bottling line is state of the art and our quality testing rigorous - their sole purpose is to ensure the water in our bottles is unaltered from the purity of its origins. We bottle only Antipodes at our source – nothing more and nothing less.

Antipodes became the world’s first and is still the only mineral water to be carboNZero certified. From its source, to any dining table in the world our water leaves behind absolutely no carbon footprint.

We achieve this by minimising and measuring all carbon emissions generated throughout our organisation and product distribution.

Being a sustainable producer is the right thing to do for a fragile global environment. Our commitment to this goal led us to become a member of the United Nations Carbon Neutral Network of companies and countries.

Antipodes is committed to producing the world’s best water in a way that is sustainable and ethical. The aquifer replenishes at a far greater rate than we could ever take the water. We only bottle to order so that we are utilising only what we need from this precious resource.

All production energy is from 100% renewable sources: geothermal, wind and hydroelectric. Through the creation of wetland reserves around our source, we continuously enhance and preserve our natural environment.

Antipodes is the most awarded water at the prestigious Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting, the world’s leading mineral water competition.

In 2008 we co-founded the Fine Water Society with a select group of the top 20 premium water producers globally. Each was invited to join because of their commitment to excellence and all are passionate water authorities.

Our bottling is certified to the highest possible international standards, surpassing all ISO9001:2015 and ISO 22000:2005 requirements.

Craft
Craft
Craft drinks aren't a hugely well defined category but there are some common characteristics. It uses terms such as ‘small batch’, ‘carefully done’ or ‘made with love’. They are generally high-quality products coming from privately owned companies where integrity of the product story is prioritised. Craft tends to feel more unique where new techniques and experimental flavours are adopted, creating a more personal brand compared to mass produced products.
